Windows sees one &quot;major&quot; upgrade in three years, ubuntu is on a fixed 6 month cycle.

Okay, perhaps not the best of examples, but basically, rather than constant upgrades with minor fixes, work is being done in chunks and pushed out (UTF support was one example that comes to mind :))</description>

Indeed, thats what i was suspecting too - especially since mIRC has been neglected for a quite long time when 6.06 (?) was released...</description>
