The German component manufacturer be quiet! has announced the launch of its new series of power supplies, the Dark Power 14. This range is designed for high-performance computers and comes in three different models, with powers of 1200W, 1000W and 850Wto adapt to the needs of different configurations.

The main objective of this new series is to combine very high energy performance with extremely quiet operation. To do this, they have a cooling module that includes a large heat sink and an integrated fan. They are designed to be compatible with the standard ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 GPUswhich prepares them for next-generation graphics cards.

Full control over cooling and power

The Dark Power 14 have the certifications 80 PLUS Titanium and Cybenetics Titanium, which guarantee energy efficiency of up to 95.57%. In practice, this translates into lower electricity consumption, lower heat generation and, therefore, quieter operation. To achieve this, they use a Full Bridge + LLC topology and high-quality Japanese capacitors prepared to withstand temperatures of up to 105°C, ensuring greater reliability.

One of the most interesting aspects is its cooling system. The user can choose between two modes using a button. On the one hand, an active mode in which the Silent Wings fan runs constantly at low revolutions. On the other, a semipassive mode in which the fan only activates when the system reaches a high load. Additionally, the fan is integrated directly into the heatsink to minimize vibrations.

For overclocking enthusiasts, be quiet! has included a button that allows you to manually switch between a multi-rail mode, which offers four 12V rails by default, and a single rail modewhich concentrates all the power in a single line for maximum control. In terms of connectivity, they are prepared for the future with up to two 12V-2×6 connectors and four 6+2-pin PCIe connectors, ensuring compatibility with current and future systems.
