In October of last year we reported about the biggest computer criminality case ever in the Netherlands. Two suspects have been arrested who infected an estimated 1,500,000 computers with the W32.Toxbot virus which they have written them self.
They used the infected machine to display ads, plunder PayPal accounts, install key-loggers and perform DDoS attacks. The drones were controlled from an IRC channel.
Only the 27-year-old has been released, as there is no fear of him repeating the crimes. The now 20-year-old prime-suspect remains in custody.
It is expected that on 24 and 25 August the actual trial of the case will start.
