After 21 beta versions the final 2.11.0 version of IRCnet´s IRCd was released on Tuesday 21th.

It is the new stable version of the ircnet IRCd and did already hold nearly 40 percent
of the users on IRCnet in beta version.

Some big changes have been made, including a restriction of [|]{\} in nicknames
and {}~\ in channelnames are automatically converted to []^| now. This will be removed
in 2.11.1 and was placed because this chars will no longer be lowercase/uppercase to each other.

UserIDs have been introduced and on nick-collisions, the nicknames will be changed to
the UID instead of killing both sides. This closed one of the big security holes in irc2.10.

Also mentionable is, that the wallop usermode +w is no longer in use. Wallops will now
be sent to the local channel &WALLOPS .

The configuration has changed a lot, so you shouldn´t use your old 2.10 config.
Two of the major changes in the config are, that you can now specify the name of the network
there and you have to specify a unique serverID.
