Anope 1.7.11 Released

Version 1.7.11 of this popular IRC services package has been released. Changes include improved Windows support with new installation files, "a number of memleaks and possible, but unlikely, segfaults" and more which can be found in the Changes Log.

The previous version included "sync issues" which caused problems on the Ultimate3 IRCd. "Because of the large number of different IRCd's we support, we can't test all and each of them completely. The QA people do quick checks on each IRCd, and because the things affected by this bug were pretty minor it slipped through without being noticed" developer GeniusDex said to IRC-Junkie in a reaction.

One of the new features is the addition of the hs_request module. GeniusDex explains: "This module allows users on your network to request a vHost with HostServ, which can then be approved and denied by services admins. This way your support channel won't be flooded by requests for vHosts. It has always been one of the more popular modules."
