ok this to me is a problem. I run a server and a help chan as well and would never act this way to my guest...

FYI:

1. There's a little thing called "context". In a mIRC-related help channel, "pop up" means "pop-up menu", a feature of mIRC, not "pop-up window with advertisements" as it would mean in a computer/security help channel. So either that person asked about a pop-up window in the wrong channel with too little information (it is not the purpuse of a mIRC help channel to solve spyware or other computer problems), or you misunderstood the issue and assumed it was about spyware. Which, again, was not a subject to be resolved in that channel.

2. Oldest rule on IRC: The channel ops decide what is appropriate or not for their channel, and that's not something you, as a guest, can argue, debate or complain about. IRC is not a democratic society. If your presence in a channel was deemed inappropriate by a channel op, that's it - you're out, no comments, find another channel to play in. What you have done to escape the bans by faking your host through proxies and flooding the manager only proves that you are inclined towards abusive behaviour. Such actions will never convince the ops to remove your ban, nor will posting online a private conversation without the consent of the person you have been talking to (in fact, intercepting a private conversation and using the log publicly without the consent of both parties is illegal in most countries). In someone else's channel, you have NO RIGHTS, only priviledges which can be revoked at the will of the ops. Stay on your own server and play God if you want, but don't expect any special treatment elsewhere for what other ops consider misconduct on your behalf.

3. I'm pretty confident the administrators of this forum will also consider this thread as misuse of their funny logs section as a place to vent your anger and inner conflicts.

Stop coming up with dumb excuses for your actions. What part of having different channels for different topics don't YOU understand? #mirc doesn't help with cooking recipes, #computers doesn't help with dating advice, and #networking doesn't help with car tuning. Regardless if a helper knows the answer to a problem, if that problem is not related to the purpose and topics of a channel, the correct thing to do is direct the person to the appropriate channel that provides help with that problem. It's not a goose chase, it is work division and specialty of activities. And if you, as a guest, are interfering with a help channel's activity for ANY reason, it is an op's duty to remove you from the channel.

Obviously, the main point in IRC is to have a good time communicating with others. But that doesn't mean guests should be allowed to do as they please just because a channel might run out of guests. In your case, the bans were NECESSARY, because your presence was INTERFERING with others' ability to have fun. Now that you're gone, people are again enjoying their IRC experience.

Just because you managed to run an IRC server doesn't make you any more knowledgeable or superior to others. Read again #2 above. Read it again. And again. Slow down and read it one more time. Once more. Keep reading until you understand it.

HELPERS AND KNOWLENGE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!

lets see some definitions and some differenses:

1.spyware.

unwanted program running background and most of them send pop up to our screen when working.All of them send some info`s somewhere about mail addresses what we have the web serfing and many other things.ALL of spyware programs eat badwith and make our system more low and efficient.

2. pop up and popups

Two different things.
pop up is the "spam" or "advertising" window that open when we visit a site on web.Of course can be and result of a spyware program.
popups is the menu design script writed on mirc script and has effect only on mirc.(the menu withh gri color whois/op/voice etc).

now we come to networks (undernet for example)
lets see what i read:

he took ban cause was INFECTED WITH IRC VIRUS WARM(something on mirc.ini file).examples for that: the user send a msg onjoin like vite the site bla bla bla.Other example whan a user say letter "a" on main room then the infected client send a private msg to him like "do you want to be op on #channel then type //.......
THATS THE REASONs FOR A BAN.(for infections)
THEY DIDNT HELP HIM ON #HELP :
NORMAL!!!! on ban msg 90% they give him the properly channel to solve the problem(#vh and #dmsetup) some specialize for that.

On #mirc.help they didnt help to remove the spyware:
NORMAL!!!!! there is not author channel all over the networks and a spyware is not his responsability cause simple is not a problem od mirc client.

FINAL PART:
1.Every channel(room) has an owner and admins that give permis to join and chat or help in there.You cannot say I WANT OR I DEMAND cause just a simple you are a simple guest and nothing more.

2.problems with pc like spyware/format/repair/diagnostics/advise and many other help you can find on other channel with your own risk ELSE google it and find the correct solution.(THE NETWORK ISN`T PC SERVICE COMPANY OR CONSULTANT FIRM)

3.every network have some help channels with limit responsabilities.What mean that: #help is for general help about undernet and cservice commands and registration help(thats for exemple)
on undernet exist some committees like:

coder and routing committee.
The online help on different rooms like #help #cservice #zt #channels and many more has members and ALL ARE VOLUNTEERS and selected via Knowlenge on IRC PROBLEMS AND COMMANDS.

NOONE MAKES MONEY WITH HELP ONLINE AND NOONE FROM ALL THE SERVER ADMINS ON UNDERNET NETWORK EVEN MAKE A PROFIT(more Ddos attacks problems probably but for sure no profit)
