As you would see often with big events, several channels on different networks will be opened for you to join while following these events on your telly.
For the worldcup both Undernet and Quakenet have opened channels for you to discuss the event at.
"As it doesn't come around very often, and seems to be rather popular, we have laid on something special for this year's Fifa World Cup. The channel #worldcup has been converted to your home on QuakeNet for the duration of the World Cup, and we have a new temporary special service in there called W, the World Cup Service. This service provides regular updates, all the current and next match info, and handles automatic voicing if you're tagged to a country", the Quakenet website reported.
"We've opened a channel dedicated to the soccer world cup held in Germany this year. If you are crazy about soccer and want to share your thoughts about the whole event, feel free to join us in #germany2006 :)", the Undernet website reported.
In any case, enjoy the show!
