XChat released version 2.6.7 for the Windows platform.
This release includes a new CHANOPT command with which you can configure channel specific settings such as the showing of joins and parts and sounds, a CLEAR HISTORY to, well, clear your command history, SPLAY to play sound files, and more including quite a few bugfixes which all can be found here.
Too cover the extra costs for compiling XChat for Windows, the Windows version has gone to shareware a while ago. The alternative freeware Windows release which is being provided by Silverex is still at version 2.6.4.
