Version 3.2.2 of the Unreal IRCd is released. Especially the people running the windows build are interested in this upgrade, fixes include the 100% cpu usage on startup, crash during install on 2003, and a remote include bug that could cause a crash.

On the fixes, Codemastr said in a reaction to IRC-Junkie: "None of them are exploits, they all required the admin to do something. For example, the invalid regex crash would crash if certain illegal things appeared in a regex. So they are serious in the sense that they can cause a crash, but they only cause a crash if there is a malconfigured server."

The new channel alias is added for commands that can be used to make abuse reports. It is an extension to the alias {} blocks, which is in use to add aliases users can use such as /nickserv, /register, etc. They now can include aliases which will end up in channels instead of a service or user.
