"Released 2.4.5 for Windows. A unix release will follow shortly, but there are still a few issues to resolve" the XChat website announced the 7th of August.
Little over a month later the unix version is now released, and its "recommended you upgrade to this version for security reasons." The complete list of changes can be found here.
