Hello every one. My name is Drew, I am 15 and work at a TV station (RTN10) It is the local public access channel here in Raleigh NC. I am also a host on a few shows there but any way. We have a viewer base of any ware from 900-2000 people watching at any time. I am working on making the shows more interactive and fun. My first goal is to get a irc server running. I have the server up but there is not much . I am a experienced irc OP. But this hole ircop thing is new to me and I am looking for 6 people to help me get those going. If you have experience and are looking to help with a fast growing community please email me. You don?t have to have worked for a another server B4 just know what your doing. Thank you all so much for reading this and I look forward to hearing from you. Please email me ###@####.com. Thanks,

TBH I think you better look for people who are in the area of broadcasting of the TV station you work for. Also, I think you shouldnt hand out operator status so easily... It is something that should be handed out with much care, both for security reasons as well as marketing wise =)

Not to tempter your enthousiasm but this approach is just bound to fail, with a little bad luck ending in a huge boom (meaning; discussions, fights, people leaving, etc). This approach is just too likely to leave you with people who's main interest is the o:line, while in fact their main interest should be with your goals. From what I can tell its providing an interactive way for your users to react to your program.
In a nutshell: I'd start with setting up some strict policies with do's and don'ts for your future opers. It doesn't have to be a big lawbook, just as long as you can make sure that your opers understand the main do's and don'ts on the network, no matter what they are. Also don't hesitate to kick someone out of the oper pool if he/she has violated against a big don't.
But I guess the most important part is that your opers know what is expected of them and like what they're doing. For your users there's nothing worse than coming into contact with unmotivated and/or uneducated opers.
From a personal experience I'd like to warn you to keep in mind that being an IRC oper is in no way anything like being a channel operator. The result of an opers actions can (and are likely) to go way further because in most cases it affects the whole network.

Well just a thought, but if you're still trying to figure stuff out, why not check out some networks that you can just link your server to and just have a channel for your TV people, that way you've got experience, people who are interested in being opers for the sake of the network (if you choose your network wisely) and you're helping others out to grow their network, plus there's people for you to learn stuff from.
