i'm lookin for a web based client with no d/l or installation required (i work in a net cafe and installs are blocked and IT guy won't install any IRC programs. anyone know of any???

Theres also a cgi script, cgi:irc if I have the name correct ... That also doesnt need any java to be installed, but does give the users the host of the webhosting company (which might be an unwanted 'feature' ofcourse...).

hmm
whats wrong with banning the entire host the cgi:irc is installed on?
and then again, if you want to prevent one client coming to your network you could always ban the ident@* because the ident is the clients ip in hex...
sure enough that gets funny if he uses proxys and such...
ircdefenders ban-on-version-reply comes to mind
