Hello again everyone,
I am interested in getting a cheaper IRC Server and Host. All I would need is a 20 channel and 1 server link server.
I am not to good with IRC, so an easy to use or one that teaches me better would be great.
If you know of any, i'd love to hear about them...
Thanks,

If you have a static IP, and you need some IRC server for private reasons, or a closed group (sounds like so from your post) there are quitea few IRCd's you could even run from Windows...
Personally I run UnrealIRCD for a northern lights group from the Linux box that acts like a router/server thingy here. IRC traffic is really minimal compared to other typed of Inet traffic.
And a IRCd like Unreal has /samode with which netadmins (configurable in the config file) can mode in any channel, which saves you the hassle of setting up an IRC service as well.

Disclaimer: Check your ISP's AUP to see if they forbid you running servers.

Sure they forbid. But OTOH they kepe the ports open, so wahts the point of those AUP's? It's just soemthing ISP's keep in case some user has exceeded bandwidth consumption beyong acceptable levels.
My ISP forbids me too, but has all the ports open. They just closed down SMTP so I can't run a mailserver, which has been done due to many exploits that were abused to relay spam over my ISP's customers boxes.
In all these years I run IRC serevrs, and bunches of websites without any problems.
Beside, if they dissallow servers, what about all the p2p'ing software? They act like servers too, and I'm pretty sure the average p2p'ing customer consumes a lot more bandwidth then an IRC server with a few dozen people on it.
