In 2004 there was a long time where their services were down due to massive attacks.

People, read the first sentence of this article. This was written for, and in THAT period in Undernet's history.
Maybe I should remove it or something to prevent people who read it properly and read it as "Undernet has no services"?
And Romiir, if you dont like a network, simply go use another, instead of bashing it in the way like you do, based on wrong assumptions as well.
Says more about you, then the network your 'commenting' on.

Asmo I am sorry, but I used to be on Undernet, and well, lets just say, I didn't enjoy my time there. I go to plenty of other networks, and have been hired as an ircop many times, currently I oper on 2 nets lol. Places as big as undernet...I understand don't have enough server power to keep services up for every single persons channel, but their regulations are just well, meh, no use argueing with someone who owns this site and lives on that network.. I'll just say this. One of my closest friends had a channel pretty much stolen from him there, and no one even cares. Its not like my bashing them hurts their user count. I just want people to know how it is there, your room isn't yours unless you have lots of luck, or lots of money for eggdrops. You shouldn't need a bot to keep your room in order untill you get enough friends in there to start the place, when I was there, they required like 10 people, I understand its a large place, but I want others to understand what they are getting into if they plan on starting a room there. It isn't easy.
Yes undernet has services...if you can call them that. My experience with them sucked. I wish anyone going there/who is there the best of luck with keeping your channel until you manage to get it registered..
P.S. The proper formula is time plus money equals a few eggdrops on a botnet hosted on different shells so one is always up no matter what to keep your room.
My 2 cents,
Romiir
