Retro “Game Boy” design for $79, this is the new AYANEO KONKR Pocket BLOCK portable console
Ayaneo, the manufacturer specialized in portable consoles, many of them with high features, has broken a little with its trend and has launched a much more compact and affordable model, which we could consider to be inspired by Nintendo’s legendary Game Boy.
The AYANEO KONKR Pocket BLOCK It is a small console with a full color screen and a button layout very similar to that of Nintendo’s portable console.
It offers a 3.33-inch “Ultra-HD” screen in 4:3 format under which it hides a MediaTek Helio G85 processor typical of low-end smartphones from a few years ago.
It is available in configurations of 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage, and it also includes a small microSD card port. Each configuration can be chosen in gray, white or purple and runs the company’s “Ayaspace” software.
All this with an approximate weight of 165 grams and measurements of 113.2 x 77.4 x 19.8 mm.
The model with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage can be reserved for $79, while the most powerful variant with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage costs $99, fairly low prices if we take into account other models in its catalog.
