ASUS presents the TUF Gaming VG34WQML5F curved monitor with triple resolution function and up to 420 Hz

ASUS has updated its catalog of gaming monitors with the new TUF Gaming VG34WQML5F. It is a curved ultra-panoramic monitor whose main novelty is the integration of a “triple mode” function, which allows you to switch between different resolutions and refresh rates according to the needs of each game. It is not the first time that we see this triple mode on a monitor, but it seems that little by little they are reaching more models.

In the case of the ASUS model, we have three modes: WQHD (3,440 x 1,440 pixels) at 260 Hz, WFHD (2,580 x 1,080 pixels) at 320 Hz and WHD (1,720 x 720 pixels) at 420 Hz. Depending on the game and environment, we can prioritize higher resolution and image quality, or greater fluidity, with balanced mode as a middle ground.

The monitor is based on a 34 inch VA panel in 21:9 format with a curvature of 1500R. As it is VA technology, it offers a native contrast superior to IPS with 4,000:1. It is accompanied by a typical brightness of 350 nits (with peaks of 400 nits under the DisplayHDR 400 certification). The panel covers 95% of the DCI-P3 range and has a 1ms GtG response time.

It has technology AMD FreeSync Premiumvariable refresh rate (VRR) and technology ELMB from ASUS to reduce motion blur. It also lacks blue light filters and anti-flicker technology (Flicker-Free).

All panel settings can be managed directly from Windows using the ASUS DisplayWidget Center application.

For connectivity it has two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs and two HDMI 2.0 ports along with a 3.5 mm jack output for headphones. It also integrates a concentrator with three USB 3.0 ports (3.2 Gen 1 5 Gbps) Type-A and two small 2 W speakers.

The base allows you to adjust the height in a range of 120 mm, tilt the screen between -5° and 20° and offers a slight lateral rotation of 10° on each side. It is also compatible with 100 x 100 mm VESA mounts.

ASUS has not yet confirmed the official price of this model or the specific date of arrival in stores in our country.
