8BitDo launches the Arcade Controller Pro for $119.99 with its own screen and interchangeable switches
8BitDo, a brand distinguished for its retro designs, has just presented the Arcade Controller Proa controller with a display 1.47 inches integrated that runs the Ultimate Software itself within the controller’s microcontroller. This way, mapping, active SOCD mode, battery and lighting are managed right there. It is already on reserve on Amazon for $119.99in white and a combination of black and red, with launch and first shipments on November 30, 2026.
Regarding the original Arcade Controller, the company has maintained a similar distribution, although with smaller buttons and grouped closer together to shorten the distances between presses. Under the tempered glass lid there are 17 buttons, plus input selectors and shortcuts on the top edge.
Five of them, P1 to P5, are remapped on the fly from the screen, and the P5 is precisely the novelty compared to the previous model.

A magnetic wrist rest that doubles as a toolbox
8BitDo has given this product a fairly high dose of originality. For example, the controller comes with a wrist rest that attaches with magnets and is removed when you prefer a more compact set. Inside there are five locking covers that replace those of the programmable buttons to prevent accidental presses.
The glass front plate, for its part, is released with a rear button and hides a switch and key extractor along with three spare switches. These switches are low-profile linear Core Green switches developed together with Kailh and follow the Choc V2 standard, so they can be changed to tactile or clicky without soldering.
The control panel groups connection change, volume, screen settings and tournament lock using a wheel that rotates and presses, while an internal SOCD cleaning function manages simultaneous opposite presses, which are those produced by pressing two opposite directions at the same time.
Two USB-C ports and a metal closure so the cable does not move
When it comes to connections, the Arcade Controller Pro uses 2.4 GHz low latency on Windows and Bluetooth on Switch and Android devices. It has an announced 15 hours of autonomy, calculated, of course, with the lighting off.

Two USB-C ports allow the cable to be removed from the top or the side depending on how you have the desk set upand the one on the back incorporates a metal anchor that holds the connector in place. From the PC, Ultimate Software V2 adds macros, mapping profiles, SOCD modes and RGB customization.
