This is the function of the Galaxy S26 Ultra to avoid prying eyes

Just over a week after its official launch, Samsung has shown one of the new functions that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. This is the “privacy screen”, a technology that will protect us from the prying eyes of “gossips”.

As Samsung has shown in a short video, this function, when activated, will detect if there is someone in our environment looking at the screen, and will hide areas of it or all of it in general, but without affecting our visibility. Therefore, this technology blocks the vision of third parties, but allows us to continue using the device normally.

We have already tested several laptops that have privacy technologies that do something similar, although much more basic: when it detects that we stop looking or move away, or even that another person is looking, the screen goes black. The problem with these solutions is that we also stop being able to use the screen.

The Privacy Display system of the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be able to hide notifications or specific elements from prying eyes

This function can be configured in automatic mode, or define where it is activated. For example, you can make it activate only in public areas such as public transportation or an elevator, and indicate what type of content to block. It is also capable of blocking only sensitive information, for example, certain notifications, so we can show content to other people without our sensitive information being compromised.

We will be able to know more details on February 25, when the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series.
