more battery, more years of support and new Exynos

Samsung’s mid-range appears again ahead of time and does so with two models that arrive with much more than a simple number change. The Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G They appear with 6.7-inch screens, 5,000 mAh batteries, 45W fast charging and an update policy that aims to be one of their most powerful assets.

Samsung seems to have opted for a very recognizable recipe for its new generation Galaxy A. The two terminals share a very similar base, both in screen size and battery, cameras and general approach. The Galaxy A37 5G appears with dimensions of 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4 mm and 196 grams of weightwhile the Galaxy A57 5G reduces the thickness up to 6.9 mm, drops to 192 grams and remains at 161.5 x 76.9 mm. The colors also change, with more sober and different finishes for each model.

What is relevant here is that Samsung does not seem to want to break with the family’s identity, but rather refine it. Both mount a flat panel 6.7-inch Super AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and refresh rate up to 120Hz.

Exynos 1480 for the A37 and Exynos 1680 for the A57

The real separation between both models would be in the processor and partly in the connectivity. The Galaxy A37 5G aims to use the Exynos 1480accompanied by configurations of 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. The Galaxy A57 5G would go up a notch with the Exynos 1680although in his case only one variant has been leaked with 8GB RAM and the same two internal capabilities.

That cast fits with what Samsung has been doing for years in this series. The most affordable model retains a solvent base, while the superior one tries to justify the difference with a more capable chip, a somewhat more modern connectivity and a somewhat more refined finish.

In this case, the jump is also seen in the wireless section. The Galaxy A37 would arrive with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3while the A57 would make the leap to WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0. Both would be Dual SIM, compatible with eSIM and 5G.

Autonomy and support become the most important message

There is one point where Samsung does seem to want to hit hard: the useful life of the product. Both the Galaxy A37 5G and the Galaxy A57 5G would arrive with Android 16, One UI 8.5 and a promise of six years of system updates and security patches. In practice, this places both above a good part of their direct rivals in longevity, especially in Europe, where long-term purchasing is becoming increasingly important.

Added to that is a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging in both models. Samsung even aims for up to two days of autonomy, a figure that always depends on actual use, but which sets the tone for the product. It does not seem that these Galaxy A want to sell themselves only for design or camera. The feeling is rather that of mobile phones designed to last, last for many hours and remain valid for years, something that in 2026 begins to be almost as important as pure power.

In photography there are no major differences between one and the other. Both would mount a triple rear system with 50 megapixel main sensor, 12 megapixel ultra wide angle and 5 megapixel macroalong with a 12 megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Rising prices and immediate launch

Everything indicates that the two models will arrive during March. The Galaxy A37 5G would have a starting price in Europe of 439 euroswhile the Galaxy A57 5G would boot in 539 euros. The range places Samsung exactly where this family usually moves, but with an increase of between 16% and 20% compared to its predecessors.

That increase is not minor. In an increasingly tight mid-range, Samsung needs to justify it with tangible arguments and here it seems to have three quite clear: 120 Hz screen, large battery with 45 W and six years of support. The message does not sound like a groundbreaking terminal, but rather a safe, recognizable and easy-to-sell mobile phone. And that, precisely in the Galaxy A series, usually matters much more than a spectacular technical sheet.

If this information is confirmed in the official presentation, Samsung will have two phones on the table that do not seek to reinvent the mid-range, but to shield it.
