FSR 4, DLSS 4.5 and XeSS 3.0 arrive in Helldivers 2 this May 27 to improve game performance

Performance problems, with FPS drops in various situations, have been a constant in the game helldivers 2 on PC. It seems that, finally, the developer Arrowhead is going to try to solve it by taking advantage of the “goodness” of AMD, NVIDIA and Intel’s rescaling systems.

A new patch for PC will be released on May 27, where one of the most notable aspects is the arrival of the most recent versions of the technologies from the three main GPU companies. In this way, the game will add official support for DLSS 4.5 from NVIDIA, AMD FSR 4 and XeSS 3.0 from Intel.

In addition, users who play on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S consoles will have AMD FSR 3.1 technology available. For PS5 Pro users, FSR’s legacy technology, Sony PSSR 1, will also be available.

Aside from the rescaling, the update will also add latency improvement technologies: NVIDIA card users will gain support for reflexwhile owners of AMD hardware will have full support for Anti-Lag 2 . Similarly, the patch adds support for variable rate shading (VRS) and dynamic resolution shading (DRS).

For now, the developers have confirmed that this May 27 patch is just the first step in a series of updates to improve the game’s performance that will arrive over the coming months. After the release, they will track the various hardware configurations and how they work with this patch to release another big update in the summer.
