Colorful launches a white X870E board with screen, USB4 and five M.2 slots

Colorful has confirmed the commercial launch of the iGame X870E Vulcan W OC V14, the all-white variant of its high-end motherboard for AMD Ryzen processors with AM5 socket. The manufacturer showed it publicly during Computex 2026, but then essential data was still missing to treat it as a finished product. The current communication establishes its definitive configurationthe recommended price and the sale in the Chinese market.

The new model preserves the approach of iGame X870E Vulcan OC overclock presented at the beginning of the year and completely changes its finish. It also incorporates some details designed for mounts where the plate is highly visible, including an integrated screen and an iridescent coating. Compatibility spans the Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 9000 families, with different memory limits for each generation.

White PCB, iridescent coating and customizable display

Colorful has applied white to the PCB, heatsinks and most of the covers. On the metal parts it uses an iridescent finish that varies in tone depending on the light and the viewing angle. It’s a more profound change than replacing the exterior casings, which is important for those who want to build a white PC without leaving dark areas around the socket or expansion slots.

One of the most recognizable elements is the iGame Smart LCD screen, with a resolution of 268 x 800 pixels. The panel can display monitoring information and custom content, so it can be used to both monitor equipment and customize the look of your setup. Board lighting, fans, cooling and supported memory can be synchronized from the iGame Center program.

Power uses an 18+2+2 phase design with 110 A DrMOS stages, mounted on a ten-layer PCB. To control the temperature of that area, the company uses a set of heatpipe and fins inspired by the cooling of a graphics card. This combination is aimed at high loads and manual adjustment sessions, the use for which the Vulcan W OC has been designed.

The board has two DIMM slots instead of the four usual on many X870E models. Its distribution prioritizes memory overclocking and allows Colorful to announce different speeds depending on the installed processor. With Ryzen 8000, the maximum indicated figure reaches DDR5-10600+ MT/s; It drops to DDR5-8800+ with Ryzen 9000 and DDR5-8000+ with Ryzen 7000. These are overclock values, so the final result also depends on the CPU, modules and configuration used.

System tuning equipment includes dedicated BCLK controls, BIOS selector, diagnostic screen, and a one-touch overclock button. On the rear panel are shortcuts to update the BIOS and clear CMOS settings, two handy features when an overly aggressive profile prevents booting. Colorful also adds its X3D AI High Frame Rate mode, specifically adapted for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2.

Five M.2 slots, dual USB4 and 5GbE networking

Storage is divided between five M.2 slots. Two work using PCIe 5.0 x4 and the remaining three use PCIe 4.0 x4, a distribution already confirmed in the final product sheet. White heatsinks cover these drives and maintain the uniform aesthetics of the board, while providing surface area to evacuate the heat generated by higher-performance SSDs.

On the back there are two 40 Gbps USB4 Type-C connectorsboth capable of sending video with a maximum resolution of 4K at 60 Hz. For the front of the case, a 20 Gbps USB-C header is included, supporting USB Power Delivery 3.0 up to 60 W.. This allows you to power or charge devices with higher power from the equipment itself, as long as the case and wiring support that function.

Network connectivity combines a Realtek 5GbE controller, WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Colorful also maintains physical power, reset and troubleshooting controls on the board itself, suitable for working with the open system. The ATX format leaves room for cooling the VRM, the screen and the five M.2 units without resorting to an E-ATX dimension plate.

The iGame X870E Vulcan W OC V14 has a recommended price of 3,999 yuan, equivalent to about 510 euros with the current reference exchange rate. For now, the company has not communicated a specific price or availability date for Europe or the United States. An eventual arrival in Spain could modify this equivalence due to VAT, tariffs and distribution margins.
