ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace: 720 Hz to be crowned the fastest OLED monitor in the world

ASUS has presented its new monitor for esports called ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Acea 24.5-inch model with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) that reaches a refresh rate of 720Hz on your Tandem WOLED panel. The company has also announced that it will be the official screen of the PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026 tournament. Those 720 Hz also make it the fastest OLED monitor in the world.

The native 10-bit panel offers a response time of 0.02 ms, a maximum brightness of up to 1,700 peak nits and 99.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. In addition, being a monitor designed for competitive environments, it has some unusual specific functions: for example, it includes a position sensor so gamers can record the exact distance and tilt of the monitor and the option to export settings through their app to sync between different monitors.

The internal dissipation system uses GaNFET transistors to control OLED panel temperatures and avoid degradation problems, in addition to offering a 3-year warranty against burnt areas.

Along with this model, ASUS has also unveiled the rest of its family of 24.5-inch monitors aimed at eSports games, combining Tandem WOLED and QD-OLED panels with different refresh rates and response times.

On the one hand, we have the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Acewhich shares the bright Tandem WOLED panel and the 1,700 nits of the faster model, but lowering the frequency to 540Hz with the same 0.02 ms response.

On the other hand, the company offers two variants with RGB QD-OLED panels with anti-reflective finish and maximum brightness of 1,800 nits: the ROG Strix OLED XG259QDPG Acewhich goes up to 560 Hz with 0.03 ms, and the ROG Strix OLED XG259QDNS Acewhich remains at 360 Hz also with 0.03 ms.
