The GEEKOM A5 2027 Edition mini PC arrives with up to 64 GB of RAM and 7 TB of SSD

Geekom has renewed its A5 mini PC with its “2027 Edition” version, perhaps a little early if we take into account that there are still more than 4 months left to reach that year. Be that as it may, this small mini PC now joins the “agent AI” bandwagon using AMD processors with a few years behind them based on Zen 3 architecture.

We are referring to laptop processors AMD Ryzen 7 7730U (with 8 cores and 16 threads up to 4.5 GHz) in the most capable model, or with the Ryzen 5 7430U (with 6 cores and 12 threads up to 4.3 GHz) in the basic model, both cases cooled by a copper block with heatpipe and ventilated.

Up to 64 GB of RAM and 7 TB of storage

The maximum RAM and storage capacity stands out, something understandable if you want to focus on AI. We are talking about supporting up to 64 GB of RAM through two SO-DIMM slots and allowing up to three storage units to be installed simultaneously: an M.2 2280 SSD (PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe or SATA up to 4 TB), a second M.2 2242 SATA SSD (up to 1 TB) and another 2.5-inch, 7 mm SATA SSD (or HDD) (up to 2 TB), adding a maximum of 7 TB.

It includes two HDMI 2.0 outputs that, together with its two USB-C 3.1 (3.2 gen 2) ports, allow you to use up to four screens at the same time.

The rest of the connectivity includes three USB-A 3.1 (3.2 Gen 2), one USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, SD card reader and a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet network port. Wirelessly it can be connected via Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. all powered by an external 65 W source.
