ASUS will launch more boards with DDR4 memory by the first quarter of 2026
Although it has been several years since AMD has the AM5 platform on the market of processors, which has support for DDR5 memory, the manufacturer has not forgotten about users who still have a AM4 processor or board. Faced with a memory crisis where DDR5 is in short supply and it also has abusive prices, users are considering go back to DDR4 which has a much larger market. Even ASUS is planning to launch more motherboard models with AM4 socket and DDR4 memory during the first months of 2026.
ASUS plans to launch more boards with DDR4 memory in Q1 2026
But not only the AM4 models will have an outlet to combat this crisis, also the Intel with Socket LGA-1700 which also have support for DDR4. A new bet for the first quarter of 2026 where the well-known manufacturer will increase the production of this type of plates, to offer users cheaper alternatives.
The memory crisis is causing manufacturers to look for alternatives
It seems that for the amd ASUS will launch more models with B550 and A520 chipsetmid-range and entry models respectively. For the IntelASUS will offer alternatives with DDR4 memory, such as boards with B760M and H610M-G chipset. Models that will surely be aimed at users looking for a savings when setting up your PCand avoid the abusive prices that DDR5 currently has.
These boards with DDR4 will allow you to purchase cheaper equipment
DDR4 is not the best way to go in terms of price, but a greater availability of these second-hand memories (and on older equipment) can make your build finally be much cheaper.
