COLORFUL launches a limited edition magnetic keyboard inspired by the Year of the Horse
COLORFUL has presented the Chitu MAG-60a limited edition mechanical keyboard inspired by Chitu, the legendary war horse from Chinese mythology known as the Red Horse and linked to the zodiac sign of 2026, the Year of the Horse. The company describes it as a collector’s piece that combines traditional Chinese craftsmanship with cutting-edge magnetic switch technology.
Only 300 units will be manufactured worldwide.which makes this keyboard a proposal clearly aimed at collectors and enthusiasts willing to pay for an exclusive piece, rather than a product designed for the mass market.
A design inspired by the legend of the Red Horse
The Chitu MAG-60 takes as reference the Han Dynasty horse engravingsauspicious cloud motifs and a vermilion red finish reminiscent of classical Chinese stamp art. The result is a design that combines oriental cultural heritage with a modern finish.
The upper part of the keyboard is made of imported alcantara, hand finished by specialized craftsmenwhile the sides incorporate full grain leather handcrafted. The chassis is machined in CNC T6 aluminum with a multi-layer anodized finishand features Chitu-themed artwork integrated into the bottom of the case.
Each unit includes a individually laser engraved serial number, two handmade metal keycaps with engravings inspired by the horse, and is part of a production limited to 300 units in total, which reinforces its character as a collector’s item for fans of the mechanical keyboard and traditional Chinese culture.
Exclusive “Year of the Horse” magnetic switches
The heart of the Chitu MAG-60 are the exclusive magnetic switches TTC “White Horse” of the Year of the Horse. According to COLORFUL, these are the first magnetic switches in the sector to integrate a personalized triple-layer acoustic module, designed to offer a clean and differentiated sound when pressing each key.
Features of these switches include a triple-layer acoustic structure, a smooth and balanced keystroke path, custom rare earth magnets, a lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokeshigh transparency housings to improve RGB lighting and dye-sublimated PBT keycaps on all five sides.
The keyboard also features a suspended top mounting structurecombined with four layers of acoustic damping materials, with the aim of reducing unwanted resonances and offering a more controlled sound response.
TMR technology designed for competition
Beyond the aesthetic section, the Chitu MAG-60 incorporates technology TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance)a magnetic detection system that, according to COLORFUL, improves conventional Hall effect solutions in several aspects: it significantly reduces energy consumption, improves thermal stability and increases resistance to interference.
Among the figures highlighted by the brand include a energy consumption up to 90% lowera thermal stability three times greatera 0.005mm shooting accuracyintelligent protection against accidental presses, a 8,000 Hz polling rate and a latency of only 0.125 ms. These are figures clearly aimed at a competitive user profile, accustomed to first-person shooter games and esports titles where response speed is decisive.

Customization through a browser-based driver
COLORFUL has integrated the Chitu MAG-60 with its browser-based configuration platform, which allows you to adjust the actuation distance, Rapid Trigger parameters, macros, RGB lighting and update firmware without the need to install additional software.
The keyboard offers 22 built-in lighting effects, support for 16.8 million colors and compatibility with major motherboard RGB sync systemswhich makes it easy to integrate it into assemblies with coordinated lighting between several components.
Compact format and cross-platform compatibility
Regarding its format, the Chitu MAG-60 uses a 60% compact layoutdesigned to maximize the space available on the desk without giving up the functionality that today’s users demand. COLORFUL highlights its cross compatibility with Windows and macOSwhich makes it suitable for both gaming and content creation tasks and daily productivity.
The Chitu MAG-60 will go on sale on June 30 for a price of 2,399 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 309 euros at the current exchange rate.
At the moment, COLORFUL has not confirmed whether the Chitu MAG-60 will be marketed outside its home market, something common in this type of very short-run limited editions, which are often limited to the Asian market due to the small number of units manufactured.
With this proposal, COLORFUL reinforces its catalog of high-end gaming peripherals, betting on a product that combines craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology and a collectible component, in a field where more and more manufacturers are launching special editions linked to specific dates or cultural references to differentiate themselves within an increasingly saturated mechanical keyboard market.
