GeForce NOW releases DLSS 4.5 controls and integrates with GOG, Firefox and Steam Machine

NVIDIA has taken advantage of Gamescom 2026 to present one of the most extensive GeForce NOW updates this year. The cloud gaming service will receive DLSS 4.5 controls, support for new Steam hardware, and more options for running games from browsers and devices connected to the TV.

Some features are already availablesuch as GOG single sign-on and official Firefox support. Others will arrive during the fall or before the end of 2026. Added to this is a list of major releases that can be played from the cloud on the same day as their PC versions.

DLSS 4.5 can be configured from the cloud

Ultimate members will receive new controls to adjust DLSS 4.5 technologies in supported games. NVIDIA will allow you to choose how Super Resolution, Dynamic Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction are applied, giving more room to prioritize image quality, fluidity or responsiveness.

Dynamic Frame Generation seeks to reduce latency and visible interruptions during transmission, while Ray Reconstruction It deals with improving the effects generated by ray tracing. Super Resolution will continue to be the option for reconstructing a higher resolution image from a lower rendering load.

NVIDIA will later publish recommendations for configuring each function. Controllers will arrive in the fall and will be limited to supported games and Ultimate mode, which currently uses servers with performance equivalent to a GeForce RTX 5080.

The company will also add support for Steam Machine and Steam Controller in the fall. It will later extend that compatibility to Windows and macOS, expanding the integration that GeForce NOW already offers with Steam Deck.

GOG integrates with a single login

The linking with GOG It now allows you to connect the account once, synchronize compatible titles and open them without repeating the identification process in each session. The application also includes a row dedicated to this store and filters to locate its catalog. Among the games available are Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3 and Baldur’s Gate 3.

Firefox officially enters the list of compatible browsers. Users can launch GeForce NOW from its website without downloading the desktop app, while Ultimate members can reach up to 1440p and 120 frames per second. Installations, updates and game files remain on the service’s servers.

The expansion will also reach the television. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select will soon join the compatible Amazon devices and will allow you to play with a connected controller. Before the end of the year, Fire TV users will be able to purchase GeForce NOW subscriptions directly through their Amazon account.

Five great games will arrive from its launch

CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker and STAR WARS Zero Company will be available on GeForce NOW from launch day. For a limited period, NVIDIA will include CONTROL Resonant with the purchase of a 12-month Ultimate subscription.

The weekly catalog includes another 13 titles. The list is topped by Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and STAR WARS Zero Company, accompanied by GOG versions of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, No Man’s Sky, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and The Witcher 3.

The dates of this batch correspond to the launch in each store. Availability on GeForce NOW may vary because some games will be added throughout the week, so all 13 titles do not have to appear simultaneously.
