Goodbye to the gray finish: Apple’s 6-inch HomePad leaks in four colors before October 13
Just yesterday we told you that Apple is preparing the presentation of its first home automation control hub with a screen for next October 13. After knowing the first details about the renewal of Apple’s home ecosystem, new leaks are now arriving. This time, what has been revealed is that the device will not be limited to the traditional metallic finish. Rather, it seems that Apple wants to give it a more fun touch from the start.
According to what we were able to know thanks to Bloombergthe device will mount a six-inch square touch panel supported by a metal arm on a circular base reminiscent of the classic design of the iMac G4. This base is where we will have the set of speakers and microphones, allowing us to orient the inclination of the panel or anchor it directly to the wall using a specific support.
But be careful, unlike an iPad, The equipment will operate continuously connected to the electrical network. After all, we are more dealing with a device equivalent to a Google Nest or an Alexa Echo Show than a tablet.
Likewise, the operating system will have an adapted interface with intercom functions, FaceTime calls and full compatibility with the Matter protocol. The platform will take advantage of integrated sensors to identify each family member through facial recognition and voice analysis, displaying personalized information according to the user.
The four colors that Apple proposes to attract the buyer
The main novelty known in recent hours affects, as we said, the finishes of this new product. While preliminary reports pointed to a single gray aluminum chassis, a leak based on Photo Face configuration screens indicates that the terminal will arrive in four finishes: silver, space gray, star white and pink.
This variety of colors with information about the second generation HomePod mini, which, according to previous leaks, will debut in pink, white, green, blue and midnight. The commitment to more striking tones moves the brand away from the boring colors in which its sound accessories have been launched in recent years.
