Intel prepares Moon Lake, processors with only 6 W TDP

It seems that Intel is still interested in offering a very low consumption solution for devices that need it, these are the Intel Moon Lake. Processors that, to achieve minimum consumption, will be built only with Darkmont ultra-low power coresno high-performance cores included. This gets a TDP only 6Wconsumption low enough for a multitude of industrial and business applications.

Intel Moon Lake: only 6W processors for low-power computers

These new Moon Lake from Intel will retain the design introduced with the Wildcat Lakein addition to using the same manufacturing process Intel 18A. The design will have a computing module, and the low-consumption tile with these will be located inside. 4 Darkmont cores. The encapsulation also remains the same as that of the Wildcat Lake, the BGA1516.

A line that comes to further lower the 15 W consumption of the Wildcat Lake, with only 6 W for devices that require less than half the consumption of Wildcat Lake. But these new Moon Lake processors can be configured from the 6 W up to 15 when the situation demands it.

The Wildcat Lake Refresh will arrive with up to 8 cores and compatibility with Intel vPro

In the same publication, the well-known leaker Jaykihn has also revealed the Wildcat Lake Refresha renewed version of these laptop processors that will arrive with some improvements. Basically the renewed version will have a maximum configuration of 4+4 coresthis is 4 high-performance and 4 ultra-low consumption, adding 2 extra high-performance cores to the maximum configuration of the Wildcat Lake.

There will also be changes in consumption, which despite having a TDB 15W base can be configured from the 10 up to 35 W. To complement these changes in the new Refresh series, these will also add support for Intel vProideal for business environments given its added advantages.

The Intel Moon Lake can mean the renewal of the Intel Nalthough at the moment it is not confirmed by the manufacturer. It is also not known if Intel is planning this renewed Wildcat Lake Refresh version, for which we will have to wait for an official announcement that can corroborate these rumors.
