Motorola has collaborated with Polar for its latest smartwatch: this is the Moto Watch Ultra with Wear OS that we have seen at IFA 2026

Motorola had things to tell us at IFA 2026. It showed us its new Edge 70 Plus. However, those at Lenovo wanted more. And that is where we have come across at the stand with the Moto Watch Ultra. Believe us when we tell you that this smartwatch is going strong.

Unlike previous generations, which were mainly oriented towards the entry-level range, this model is committed to conquering the high-end range. The first thing is that adopts Google’s Wear OS operating system. So buyers won’t miss a single app on their wrists.

On the other hand, the physical aspect also points upwards. Without going any further, the 46-millimeter stainless steel case, where the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor sits, provides a premium feeling that we had not known with previous watches from the brand.

As we told you, the adoption of the Google platform is a success, because it allows access to the Google Play store catalog to download services such as Google Maps, YouTube Music or Google Wallet to make mobile payments. Likewise, the device debuts the Motorola Qira assistant. To complete the experience, it incorporates LTE connectivity through eSIM, allowing you to send messages, answer calls and receive notifications without having to carry your mobile phone with you.

Polar sports algorithms

Motorola has thought about those who want their watch, in addition to being beautiful and versatile (thanks to the apps, we mean), to be a good ally for measuring health. Therefore, we consider that one of the key points of the watch is the alliance with Polar to integrate advanced biometric algorithms.

Among the available tools we have seen Nightly Recharge feature to measure nervous system recovery, Serene breathing exercises with biofeedback and Sleep Plus Stages sleep analysis. The virtual running coach offers guided guidelines on your wrist to dose your effort during outdoor workouts. Likewise, the dual band GPS positioning sensor Ensures accurate recording of sports routes without deviations in dense urban environments with tall buildings.

A very bright screen with decent autonomy

Screen and autonomy are often antagonists in specification wars. In this case, we have a 1.5-inch OLED panel protected by glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with always-on display mode. The panel stands out for offering a maximum brightness of up to 2,700 nits, a figure more than enough to view all the data in full sun.

In the autonomy section, the brand says that the battery can last up to two full days of standard use on a single charge, regardless of the always-on screen mode. Quick charging achieves 24 hours of use in just 15 minutes. In any case, this is not a watch that you will be able to wear for weeks without going through the charger. In this sense, it is closer to the Apple Watch or a Samsung Galaxy Watch than a Huawei or Xiaomi.

Along with its new smart watch, the firm has shown us the Moto Snap magnetic wireless charger. In this case, we are faced with a accessory compatible with the Qi2.2 standard used, for example, by the iPhone 17 or the Pixel 11. The base delivers up to 25 W of power on compatible devices and increases the delivery to 30 W on Motorola terminals through its specific charging protocol. In addition, it has magnetic anchoring. The accessory includes a 1.5 meter long USB-C braided cable, thermal overload protection and zero residual consumption when idle.

Regarding the availability of both, the Moto Snap magnetic charger will arrive in Europe for an initial price of 39 euros. The Moto Watch Ultra will go on sale for 429 euros in the coming weeks in the main European and Latin American markets.
