NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry updates to version 2.0 to improve ray-traced rendering
NVIDIA continues to work to improve image quality and efficiency, thanks to the hardware integrated into its graphics cards. The technology RTX Mega Geometry has been updated to version 2.0 and adds geometry streaming for highly detailed ray-traced scenes. An option that comes along with RTX Kit 2026.3 with updates to the company’s other tools aimed at neural rendering, ray tracing and texture processing.
RTX Mega Geometry 2.0 improves ray-traced scene rendering
RTX Mega Geometry 2.0 now allows customize the level of detail with different geometry groupsaccording to the needs of the current scene, and divide the meshes into groups for rendering. NVIDIA has shown an example of this technology, and has also confirmed that it will reach Gears of War: E-Dayimproving scenes and rendering performance.
RTX Neural Texture Compression arrives with support for Windows Arm64
The kit version RTX 2026.3 It also adds other new features, such as the beta version of RTX Neural Texture Compression in version 0.10compatible with the preview version of the DirectX 12 Agility SDK that includes linear algebra. An option that will help NVIDIA RTX Tensor cores to speed up the decompression of textures in shaders. It also adds support for Windows Arm64given that NVIDIA’s first RTX Spark laptops will soon appear.
