Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra will arrive in Europe with less battery than their Chinese Redmi K100 twins
Xiaomi has presented the new ones under its Poco sub-brand F9 Pro and F9 Ultratwo high-end smartphones that will arrive in Europe in the coming weeks with different names than those already known in China. According to WinFuture, both models essentially correspond to the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Max that Xiaomi already sells in its local market, although with some relevant changes for its arrival in the Old Continent.
The most striking of these changes directly affects autonomy. While the Redmi K100 series reaches up to 10,000 mAh battery in China, the European variants of the Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra significantly reduce that figure, something that conditions a good part of the user experience compared to their Chinese twins.
Less battery for the European market
He Poco F9 Pro incorporates a 6,330 mAh batterywhile the Poco F9 Ultra goes up to 8,050 mAh. These are solid figures for the segment, but they are far from the 10,000 mAh that Xiaomi offers in some configurations of the Redmi K100 in China. The European models are also lighter than their Chinese counterparts, weighing 206 and 235 grams respectively.
Wired charging does remain at a high level for both terminals, with support up to 100W and compatibility with the USB PowerDelivery standardwhich would allow a good part of the battery to be recovered in a short time despite the capacity cut.
In the screen section, the Poco F9 Pro mounts a 6.59-inch Plastic-OLED panel with QHD resolutionrefresh rate of up to 185 Hz and slightly curved edges. The Poco F9 Ultra, for its part, opts for a larger flat panel, with 6.85 inches and a resolution of 2,608 x 1,200 pixels. Both models incorporate Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the front to protect it from scratches and bumps.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and cameras with optical stabilization
Inside, both the Poco F9 Pro and the Poco F9 Ultra mount the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processorthe firm’s current top-of-the-range chip, combined with 12 or 16 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage, without the option of expansion via microSD card.
In the photographic section, both Poco share 50 MP main camera (something to be confirmed) with f/1.68 aperture and optical stabilization of image. The differences appear in the ultra wide angle sensor, where the Pro is left with an 8 megapixel camera compared to the 50 megapixels that the Ultra mounts for this same type of shots.
Regarding the zoom, the Poco F9 Pro includes a 50-megapixel camera with a focal length equivalent to 60 mm (3x optical zoom) and f/2.0 aperture, also with optical stabilization. The Poco F9 Ultra goes one step further with a zoom sensor, also 50 megapixels, but with a focal length equivalent to 120 mm (5x optical zoom) and a larger aperture of f/3.0. Both models can record video in 8K at 30 fps and in 4K up to 60 fps without problems, and share a 32 megapixel front camera for selfies.
Xiaomi also repeats its collaboration with Bose to incorporate higher volume speakers in the rear of the two modelsa feature that had already been shown in previous generations of the Poco F series. In addition, the Poco F9 Ultra adds an LED ring on the back for notifications, and both devices have IP69 certification.

Pricing and availability in Europe
According to the figures used, the Poco F9 Pro (12/256 GB) It would cost in Europe a minimum of 799 euroswhile the Poco F9 Ultra (16/512 GB) it would be around 999 euros. These are figures not yet officially confirmed by Xiaomi, so they should be taken with caution until the company announces definitive prices for the European market.
Regarding colors, variations are expected in black, green and redthe same shades that have already been seen in the Chinese models of the Redmi K100 series. At the moment there is no official European presentation date, although the fact that the information is already circulating in such detail points to a relatively near launch.
