ProsperoEden is the Nintendo Switch emulator for PS5 in Alpha version, capable of running CupHead at 60 FPS

ProsperoEden adapts the Eden emulator to run Switch games on PS5

The project has the name ProsperoEdena name that comes from the open source Eden emulator and is available for Windows, Linux, MacOS and Android. This in turn is a derivation of Yuzualso free source, and which with ProsperoEden they have managed to adapt to the PlayStation 5 hardware.

At the moment, this version of the ProsperoEden emulator for PS5 is in very early phasealthough several well-known titles are already playable. Some of the games tested include Cuphead with a rate of 60 FPS approximate and Metroid Dread which has managed to reach 40 FPS. Other games like Super Mario 3d World have remained playable, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is capable of reaching the game, although advances have even allowed it to be played fluently without reaching the goal of 60 FPS.

On Reddit there is already a list of games tested and the results obtained, although most continue to have errors and difficulties. At the moment it has not been used either Vulkan for renderinghaving to resort to OpenGL.
