QNAP launches HBS 3 HBRID Backup Sync update to solve new RSYNC vulnerabilities

QNAP has announced the detection of multiple vulnerabilities that could affect the safety of their NAS. These are vulnerabilities detected in the RSYNC system that use applications such as HBS 3 Hybrid Backup Sync available in the operating systems of the Nas of qnap, as QTS and Hero.

The company already has launched an update solutionso all users must update HBS 3 Hybrid Backup Sync, in the case of not having activated automatic updates, you can follow the steps specified QNAP to keep the application updated:

  1. Log in QTS or QTS with an administrator account.
  2. Open the application center and click on search.
  3. In the search form, write HBS 3 Hybrid Backup Sync and press Enter to start the search.
  4. If our HBS 3 HBID Backup Sync installation is not updated, we will get a “update” button to install the latest version, pressing it will open a confirmation message that we will have to click. If, on the contrary, it is already updated, the button will not appear.
