The Intel Core Ultra 9 4950K Nova Lake leaks in CPU-Z exceeding 20,000 points in multicore
Lately the name of Nova Lakeincluding the successor to this next series of Intel processors, Razor Lake, which will arrive later. But first there are the Intel Nova Lake, or Core Ultra 400although Intel may be changing the nomenclature for this next series of CPUs that promise to release cores before the Xeon processors. Possible jump to a 4-digit nomenclature with the future Core Ultra 4000 “Nova Lake”
This leak suggests two things, the first is that Intel is testing one of the high end processors of this next series of CPUs. The second is that Intel can rename this next series, offering 4-digit references instead of the usual 3 that we have found in the latest processors for desktop computers, such as the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus.
But we must be alert, at least as far as the name is concerned, since Intel may use temporary names for internal testing, while these processors are in the development phase. It seems that Nova Lake is still in this phase of development, so it is not known for sure if these 4-digit names will be the final commercial name. To contradict this there are several leakers, who seem to agree on this new 4-digit nomenclature for Intel Nova Lake-S that will be presented in 2026.
The first results in CPU-Z give it about 1,000 points in single-core and 20,000 in multi-core
On the other hand, the filtration also leaves us performance numbers on CPU-Zwhich fortunately can be compared with other CPUs. According to the post on X/Twitter, the single core score is around 1,000 pointswhile for multicore is around 20,000 points. This score surpasses the processors with the highest score of 32 threads, which is currently held by the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition with 17,294 points.
If this information is correct, Intel may have achieved great performance with this next generation of processors, all this taking into account that, if we are dealing with a CPU in an early phase, fine-tuning the results may even exceed these high marks. We can’t wait to see what awaits us with these new Intel Nova Lake-S 4000 Series.
