Unihertz Titan 2 Elite is the mobile phone with a physical keyboard that wants to convince those nostalgic for BlackBerry that it arrives at MWC 2026
Unihertz is a Chinese brand specialized in niche phones that has been filling a gap for years that large companies abandoned long ago. Their devices range from ultra-resistant mobile phones to terminals with physical keyboards. And it is precisely in this last segment where the company has focused its presence at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The protagonist of the stand is Titan 2 Elitean Android smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard integrated into the chassis that aims directly at users who miss the old days of BlackBerry.
Unihertz’s plan is to launch the device through a campaign in Kickstarter at the end of Marchat which time the final price will be known. The success of the project will largely depend on that figure, since the market for mobile phones with a physical keyboard is small and the price is one of the main decision factors.
Touch keyboard, compact screen and five years of updates
The Titan 2 Elite improves the main problem of its predecessor, which was too bulky for everyday use. This new model reduces the overall size of the chassis to make it more manageable, although the buttons are still small at first contact. The keyboard is not only for typing, but also functions as touch surface for scrollingwhich extends its usefulness beyond writing.

To accommodate the physical keyboard at the bottom, the screen stays on 4.03 inches with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,200 pixels and almost square proportions. It is an OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, enough to read emails and documents comfortably. The processor is a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 accompanied by 12 GB of RAM, a solvent combination for the use for which the device is intended. The battery is 4,050 mAh, which with a screen of this size should last a full day without problems.

In photography, the Titan 2 Elite incorporates two 50 megapixel rear cameras and a 32-megapixel front, more than enough for work video calls and quick document captures. One of the most important arguments of the device is its commitment to support. Unihertz guarantees five years of updates of the operating system, which means that the terminal will receive Android 20. It is an unusual level of support in brands of this size.

The Tank 5 Pro, another niche device with a 50 MP thermal camera
Unihertz has also presented at the MWC the Tank 5 Proa rugged mobile phone with IP68 certification that incorporates what the brand describes as the world’s first 50 megapixel thermal camera, based on the FLIR Lepton 3.1R module. With a 90-degree field of view, it allows precise temperature measurement in each pixel of the image, a functionality aimed at professional and technical uses. The device also includes a integrated DLP projector. For now there are no more details about its specifications or price.
