Unity AI will allow you to create causal games from text prompts

The use of generative AI in video games is increasingly widespread, although at the same time, it seems that the reaction of users is increasingly contrary to this type of use.

The CEO of Unity, one of the best-known and most used graphics engines, among other things, for video game development, commented at the latest conference for investors that they will focus on the development of games with AI as one of their key strategies.

According to CEO Matthew Bromber, AI will democratize video game development among the public, including people who don’t know how to program.

Unity AI will arrive in March and will allow you to create simple games without programming.

In March, the company will launch a beta of the “Unity AI” tool with which complete casual video games can be generated simply using natural language through prompts. The technology will be integrated into Unity’s own development environment, making the task easier even for professional developers.

This assistant will be specialized in video game development and will take into account the entire project and graphics engine to adapt to it. However, we will have to see what results it is capable of achieving and if not we will be facing another case of what is known as “AI Slop” that gives rise to a flood of low quality games created by Artificial Intelligence.
