Meta continues to improve WhatsApp to adapt the platform for both personal use and organizational and work environments. The most notable feature of this version is the inclusion of the command @alldesigned to notify all the members of a group chat without having to tag them individually. This tool is designed for urgent communications or last-minute notices. The point is that collective mentions go beyond the group’s usual muting, guaranteeing that the message reaches the user’s screen even if the main conversation is silent.

To avoid misuse or spam in large communities, Meta has established usage restrictions depending on the size of the chat. In those groups that exceed 32 participants, the ability to use the mention @everyone is reserved exclusively for administrators. Besides, Users can turn off @everyone notifications independently from the application settings if you prefer not to receive this type of global alerts.

Better group polls and instant side chat creation

Additionally, the integrated survey system receives three modifications aimed at better structuring group decisions. Users can now set a time limit so that voting is automatically blocked when the deadline expires. Likewise, the option to hide the names of voters is added to make responses anonymous and editing the question is allowed during the first 15 minutes since its publication to correct errors or refine the text.

Along with the renewal of the surveys, WhatsApp incorporates a quick way to create new conversation groups from existing chats. With a single touch, you can select multiple members of a current group to start a parallel conversation without having to search for or add them one by one. This feature makes it easier to coordinate small work teams or planning specific issues without overloading the main discussion thread.
