Windows 11 security patches can be installed without restarting the system

While the need to restart after certain types of system updates is not something especially annoying for domestic users, within business environments it can mean the interruption of critical services that companies are offering.

Thinking about this type of users, Microsoft has begun to launch a new “Hotfix” safety updates system that can be installed without the need to restart the system, thus avoiding that the service has to be stopped.

This “live” update system is available for the operating system Windows 11 Enterprisefrom version 24h2 and Build 26100.2033. At the moment, it has only been launched in final version for systems with Intel and AMD processors. ARM -based equipment users will have to use a pre -ck version of the system and configure some services, at least as long as they do not launch in a final way.

On the other hand, this system allows you to launch smaller security patches when required, without having to wait for typical monthly security updates.

At the moment, this safety “hotfix” patches system will only be available for Windows 11 Enterprise in systems that have a “Windows 11 Enterprise E3, E5, or F3, Windows 11 Education A5 or A5, or Windows 365 Enterprise, but it would not be uncommon to end up reaching the domestic versions of Windows 11 “Home” and “Pro”, perhaps with standard Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
