Well, this same country will see exclusively the new edition that Sony will launch of its PlayStation 5the call Midnight Black. The console will be available from November 19coinciding with the launch of the next big hit that will be released for this platform, the GTA 6.

Sony launches a PS5 Midnight Black exclusive to Japan for about 310 euros

Sony has announced it exclusively for the Japanese market, a completely black edition of the PlayStation 5 in its Digital Edition version (without disc reader). The console will be priced at 55,000 yenwhich in turn means a much cheaper price than its MSRP in Spain, about 310 euros. This advantageous price is also linked to the language of the console, which is only available in Japanese, as well as use with PlayStation accounts registered in Japan.

Sony will also launch the same day Midnight Black version disk driveto adapt this Digital version to the disc format. The unit price is 11,980 yenabout 67.50 euros in exchange, which will be the price to spend to convert this completely digital console into the version that also supports game discs.

The PS5 Midnight Black costs almost half that in Spain

As we see, buying this console in Japan is much cheaper than the standard version with all languages, which recently rose to almost 90,000 yen (just over 507 euros). The console is exactly the same, but limiting the language and account registrations is reason enough for it not to be exported taking advantage of this more advantageous price to other locations. Meanwhile in the rest of the world we will have to pay almost 600 euros for a PS5 Digitala price that is almost double for the same hardware.
