In addition to adding FSR 4.1 on more AMD graphics solutionsgraphics card giant Radeon has also left some good news for users who prefer Vulkan over DirectX 12. AMD will bring FSR 4 to Vulkan, although there is no date yet

FSR 4 was launched more than a year and a half ago, and since its launch It has only received support for DirectX 12, at least with support from AMD. However, the previous version FSR 3.1 supported Vulkan and DirectX 12. Since then developers have had to limit themselves to DirectX 12 to introduce the latest generation of their FSR 4 scaling technology, something complicated for gamers using Linux.

Vulkan support will benefit many games on Linux

AMD has only limited itself to announcing this upcoming compatibility, without any explanation as to why it has taken more than a year and a half to be announced. Vulkan is used in Linux gameswhich also make use of the Windows Proton gaming compatibility layer. This new support may see more games feature FSR technology, primarily games that natively use Vulkan.

But this announcement has made general reference to FSR, without specifying whether FSR 4.1 will add this support. This may leave out the frame generation or ray regeneration introduced with the latest version 4.1.
