Thermaltake and SilverStone prepare 3000 W supplies that do not work in American 120V plugs
Building a computer with several high-end graphics cards is no longer just a matter of space in the case or cooling. Four 12V-2×6 connectors to satisfy multiple graphics cards
The Thermaltake AX 3200W meets the standards ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1and each of its four 12V-2×6 cables is certified to deliver up to 600W. For cooling, SilverStone has opted for a 135mm double ball bearing fan, and the measurements remain the same 150 × 86 × 200 mm as Thermaltake’s proposal.
The most striking thing about the leap that the HELA 3000Rz takes is that SilverStone had previously launched the HELA 2500Rzwith the same number of 12V-2×6 connectors but 500 W less power. The new version maintains the same depth of 200 mm, which means that the increase in performance has not translated into a larger chassis, something that will be appreciated by those who have already planned a specific space for the fountain within their tower.
Price and availability, still up in the air
Neither Thermaltake nor SilverStone They have confirmed price and availability date for their respective 3000 W and 3200 W sources.
