AOC AGON AGP277KXM: 5K Fast IPS Monitor with Dual Mode at 360 Hz and 2,304 Mini LED Zones

AOC has presented its new gaming monitor in China AGON AGP277KXM. A model that combines a 27-inch “Fast” IPS panel with native 5K resolution and a dual-mode system that allows reaching up to 360 Hz. In addition, one of its most notable features is its Mini LED backlight with an array of 2,304 independent zones with adjustable brightness.

In this way, it promises good reproduction of HDR content by being able to turn off and regulate the brightness of all that number of zones. Its maximum brightness reaches peaks of 1,600 nits and has certification VESA DisplayHDR 1400.

It has Dual mode: 5K resolution at 180 Hz or QHD at 360 Hz

Its “5K” resolution offers 5,120 x 2,880 pixels, reaching 218 dpi on that diagonal. That resolution is the maximum it can reach with 180 Hz, but it includes dual mode, a technology that we are seeing more and more. In this mode it works at a maximum of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (QHD) and increases the frequency up to 360 Hz. In both cases it includes AMD FreeSync Premium (adaptive-sync).

Its response times are 0.5 ms GtG with a native contrast of 1,500:1. As for color coverage, it promises 98% in both DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, in addition to 100% sRGB.
