HATOR launches the Skyfall 80 and 100 TMR ALU with magnetic sensors, wireless connection and up to 10,000 mAh
HATOR has brought to IFA 2026 two new high-end keyboards that have not yet appeared in its public catalogue: the Skyfall 80 TMR ALU BK and Skyfall 100 TMR ALU BK. We have been able to meet them at the manufacturer’s space in Berlin, where they appeared with recommended prices of 189.99 and 199.99 euros, respectively.
Both share black aluminum construction, TMR sensors, USB connection, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz radio, in addition to a polling rate advertised as “8K + 8K”. Their main difference is in the format: Skyfall 80 eliminates the number block and Skyfall 100 retains the complete layout.
TMR Sensors and HATOR Aurum Ice Switches
TMR corresponds to tunneling magnetoresistancea technology that detects variations in the magnetic field produced by moving the magnet of the switch. It allows measuring the position of each key without depending on a conventional electrical contact. Sensor manufacturers such as TDK and Infineon highlight their sensitivity, low noise level and reduced consumption compared to other magnetic detection technologies.
HATOR combines these sensors with Aurum Ice linear switches. The card indicates an actuation force of 50 gf, hot swap and an estimated lifespan of 100 million keystrokes. However, the brand has not yet detailed the total distance, the interval to configure the activation point or the presence of functions such as Rapid Trigger or different actions depending on the depth of the press.
The electronics perform the internal reading of the keyboard at 256 kHz. This figure is different from the rate used to send information to the computer, identified by HATOR as 8K + 8K. The available documentation does not clarify whether those 8,000 Hz apply to both the USB cable and the 2.4 GHz wireless connection.
80 and 100% formats with gasket mounting
The Skyfall 80 TMR ALU BK has the reference HTK5880EU and adopts an 80% format. It retains the row of functions, the arrows and the navigation group, but dispenses with the numeric keypad to take up less space and allow greater freedom of movement for the mouse. Its recommended price is 189.99 euros.
The reference HTK5800EU corresponds to the Skyfall 100 TMR ALU BK. Its full layout adds the number block, so it fits better on computers used both for gaming and for working with spreadsheets or entering figures. It will cost 199.99 eurosonly 10 euros more than the compact version.
Both models use Double-injected PBT keycaps with OMA profile and will be offered with ANSI and ISO distributions. The list of languages includes Spanish, German, French, Italian, Belgian, Nordic and British. Inside they use a gasket mount and several layers of damping to isolate the board from the chassis and reduce resonances during writing.
Three connections, TFT screen and double battery
The new Skyfalls work via USB cable, Bluetooth or its 2.4 GHz link. Its configuration can be done with HATOR PC SyncHUB or from Web SyncHUB. These tools allow you to control lighting, macros, profiles and other parameters in the current models of the family, although the specific options of the new TMR sensors remain to be confirmed.
As an extra, it can have two 5,000 mAh batteries, which means a combined capacity of 10,000 mAh. HATOR has not provided autonomy figures with the lighting on.
The package will include additional keycaps and a set of premium accessories. The company has not yet announced the release date or published the product pages for the Skyfall 80 and 100 TMR ALU BK.
