Google opens reservations for its Googlebooks and leaves Spain out

Google has opened reservations for its latest attempt to gain a foothold in the laptop market. After the Chromebooks, now come the Googlebooksa variant that the company places in a more “premium” range than Chromebooks, although in reality they have quite modest hardware, far from traditional high-end models.

Although the company has not revealed the operating system, it does refer to the fact that it will allow Android applications to run, so we would be talking about the operating system codenamed “Aluminium OS.” Of course, whether we like it or not, Googlebooks will offer several AI functions such as Magic Pointer, to easily launch Gemini from the cursor, Rambler for voice dictation and organization of notes, and Gemini Live or Spark to work in the background.

The Googlebooks will start at $899, but they will not arrive in Spain at the moment.

The company has opened reservations in the US, with prices from 899 dollars, with a sales forecast for October 4, and for October 5 in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany and Australia. At the moment, it seems that Google will not sell Google Books in Spain.

The first companies that have these equipment are Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo.
