The Beats 360 arrive in Spain for 349.95 euros: headband headphones with interchangeable ear pads and IPX4 resistance

Beats, Apple’s audio brand, has important news. As the company has announced, the new Beats 360 are coming to our market. Currently, they are already available in the official Apple store for a price of 349.95 euros. But what exactly do they offer?

Well, the first thing to highlight is that for the first time in the firm’s catalog we come across a modular structure of removable pads. This applies to both the headphones themselves and also the headband. With this quick replacement architecture, the brand allows you to replace these components that tend to wear out over time or, why not, customize the look by combining shades.

Another issue that must be taken into account is that with the launch the manufacturer’s high-end is reordered. This new model moves the Beats Studio Pro to a lower step. The latter, in addition, now have a reduction in the official price.

Unlike Apple’s AirPods lines, this model maintains its own control chip focused on working the same way on both iOS and Android. Without a doubt, a good point that must be thanked to Beats. Thanks to this wireless controller combined with Bluetooth 5.3 Class 1, the device offers quick pairing and location on both platforms without limiting advanced functions to the apple ecosystem.

The Beats 360 arrive with an acoustic architecture with three-layer transducers

The acoustic section is delegated to custom-developed transducers that mount a three-layer stratified diaphragm together with a double neodymium magnet system. What’s the point? As the brand explains, the configuration seeks to reduce harmonic distortion in low frequencies while maintaining instrumental separation in mids and highs.

In the left earbud, Beats has put a gyroscope and an accelerometer that record head movement. This is for applying dynamic spatial audio and decoding multichannel tracks in Dolby Atmos format. In no case has it been designed to obtain health metrics or anything like that.

On the other hand, active noise cancellation works through an adaptive algorithm that processes the signal captured by an array of nine MEMS digital microphones. Eight of these sensors are calibrated to suppress external frequencies, achieving an attenuation 1.75 times greater than in the Studio Pro, according to manufacturer data. For phone calls, the headphones have three microphones.

Although these headphones can be disassembled, the structure of the headset comes with IPX4 certification, so they resist sweat or a drizzle well. All this, while maintaining the aforementioned anchoring mechanism, with which the user can switch between sport pads or synthetic leather finishes depending on the activity you carry out. As we said before, it is a clear commitment to personalization.

Likewise, we talk to you about other relevant issues, such as autonomy. Beats says the built-in battery provides up to 32 hours of uninterrupted playback with both active cancellation enabled and sleep EQ modes. The charging system via USB-C interface incorporates the Fast Fuel rapid recharging function, providing one hour of listening with five minutes of plugging.

Finally, you are interested to know that the right earcup is where all the dedicated physical buttons for volume and playback control are gathered. No touch controls, in this case.
