Android mobiles will restart automatically after 3 days without use
Google is working on a new update for its Android mobile operating system in order to improve user safety. Already launched in some areas in the April 2025 security update, this update will introduce a novelty that will make your Android mobile automatically restarts after three days without use, that is, if it is blocked for 72 hours.
When restarting, as usual, the smartphone will ask for the pin to be used, adding that extra security layer against robberies or losses.
In addition to restarting, when the mobile takes those 3 days without unlocking and using, it will automatically enter a high security mode that will encrypt the data and will not allow its use until the starting pin or password is introduced. In this mode it will not be possible to unlock it with the footprint or with facial recognition.
The update will be available for smartphones and tablets with this operating system, and will be a copy of what Apple already does with the latest version of iOS 18.1 on its iPhones and iPads.
Devices like Google Pixel 9 Pro They have already received the update and it is expected that you will soon reach all Android devices that still receive security updates.
