Apple is aware of the hinge issue and encourages you to request a replacement if you experience this issue on your iPhone Duo.
Just yesterday we learned about the first incidents with the newly released iPhone Duowhich had screen breakage problems. An incident reported by many users, who noted how their hinge was hardeningand then noticed how the internal screen was damaged when closing or opening the phone. Apple had promised to replace these units, although stock is currently difficult, but it has also spoken out regarding this problem.
Apple recognizes iPhone Duo screen problems and recommends requesting a replacement
Apple has issued a statement that 9to5mac has collected, in which it has acknowledged that it is aware of the problem. As a solution, the apple giant has published what we all already know, contact Apple support as soon as possible to get your replacement. A replacement that can be made to wait, since the success of this iPhone Duo has been noted, with apparently few units available since its launch, and with shipments scheduled for January if you are interested in getting one of these Apple folding phones.
Apple, for the moment, does not clarify what causes the iPhone Duo screen breaks
Apple has told us that the problem affects a reduced number of iPhone Duobut you have not specified where the root of this problem is. Nor has it specified if it is a factory defect, or if it can somehow be avoided in the event that you end up with one of these apparently affected units.
We hope that soon Apple can complete an investigation into this problem, and can offer us a statement explaining the origin and thus solve it directly on the assembly line.
