Colorful’s first GaN charger has four ports and measures consumption
Colorful has launched the iGame Guard G114its first charger based on gallium nitride. The device reaches 140 W, integrates three USB-C ports and one USB-A, and adds a screen that reports the total power, the distribution between connections, the temperature and the accumulated time of use.
The G114 will be released first in China 199 yuan, about 26 euros at the current direct exchange rate. Colorful indicates that there will be an international launch later, but has not yet communicated countries, date or price for Europe. The conversion does not include VAT, tariffs or the distribution margin.
Two USB-C capable of delivering up to 140 W
The USB-C ports C1 and C2 individually admit up to 140 W via USB Power Delivery 3.1 EPRwith a maximum output of 28 V and 5 A. To reach that power you need a USB-C cable prepared for 5 A and a device compatible with the EPR profile. If any of those items have a lower limit, the negotiation automatically reduces the delivery.
The third USB-C and USB-A reach up to 30 W each. The 140 W represents the total maximum available and is not multiplied by the number of connectors. When multiple devices are charged, the electronics distribute the power between them. Colorful quotes configurations of 100W plus 30W, 65W plus 45W and 18W, or 100W plus two 7.5W outputs.
These combinations allow, for example, power a laptop and reserve another quick outlet for a phone. The actual power depends on the protocols and profiles supported by each device. The charger is compatible with PD 3.1, PPS, Quick Charge, SCP, FCP and AFC, a selection that covers devices from different brands without guaranteeing the maximum proprietary speed of all of them.
Colorful claims to have made tests with more than 200 devices. The figure describes its compatibility process, but the company did not publish the full list or individual results in the announcement. The presence of the appropriate protocol continues to be the information that must be checked when a device requires a specific load.
A screen to monitor power, temperature and time of use
The iGame Display features the total power and output corresponding to each port. Also indicates the temperature and accumulated operating time. This information allows you to check whether the laptop is negotiating the intended profile or how much headroom is left when connecting another device.
The panel does not replace a laboratory measurement, but avoids depending on a cable with an integrated meter for quick consultations. The company does not specify the resolution, size or precision of the readings, so it is best to interpret the values as operational information from the charger itself.
Dynamic management readjusts the distribution when one of the equipment is connected, disconnected or changes demand. This behavior is necessary in a multiport charger: a variation in one connector may force the active profiles in the others to be renegotiated. The manufacturer claims that the system maintains a stable output during these changes.
GaN technology in a 61 x 72 x 33.2 mm body
The charger measures 61 x 72 x 33.2mm and occupies approximately 145 cm3. Colorful combines power factor correction, an AHB topology, and high-frequency switching with GaN semiconductors. Gallium nitride allows working at high frequencies and helps reduce the size of magnetic components compared to traditional designs of comparable power.
The casing has a microtextured matte finish which, according to the brand, resists fingerprints, scratches and yellowing. Its appearance follows the iGame visual line and the screen occupies one of the sides. The available information does not indicate the weight or specify whether the 240W cable required to take advantage of the 140W is part of the package.
The design has been adjusted to reduce tilt when plugged directly into a vertical outlet. Colorful mentions center of gravity, cable orientation and load distribution as elements reviewed. The effectiveness will also depend on the firmness of the plug and the weight of the connected cables.
Universal entry and initial release in China
The iGame Guard G114 supports 100 to 240 V input, so Can be used on electrical networks in different countries with the corresponding physical adapter. The company says it has been subjected to a full load with 90 and 264 V inputs, values that exceed the nominal range to check its operation against variations.
The Chinese price of 199 yuan is equivalent to about 26 euros with the exchange rate consulted on September 24, 2026. It is a low figure for a 140 W charger with four ports and a screen, but it does not allow us to anticipate the international price. Taxes, approval and distribution can modify it significantly.
The brand confirms the initial launch in China and a subsequent global arrival. There is still no date, European price or list of marketsand it has not been specified what type of plug each international version will include.
