Dell presents the 14S with Intel Core Series 3 processors and up to 21 hours of Netflix

Dell has presented at IFA 2026 the Dell 14Sa lightweight laptop that debuts the Intel Core Series 3 processors within the company’s consumer range. The equipment is mainly aimed at students and users looking for an easy-to-transport machine with a high-capacity battery.

The new model measures 13.5 mm thick and weighs 1.15 kg. Its aluminum casing will be available in four finishes called Linen, Dusty Rose, Washed Denim and Velvet Green, moving away from the traditional gray and black tones that dominate this category.

A 75 Wh battery in a 1.15 kg laptop

One of its main characteristics is the 75Wh PNCM 750ED battery. The brand explains that it uses higher density cells designed to reduce heating under load and better preserve their capacity over time, without considerably increasing the weight or cost of the equipment.

The company announces up to 21 hours of Netflix playback. This figure was obtained with a configuration equipped with an Intel Core 5 320, Full HD screen, 8 GB of memory and 256 GB SSD, with the brightness set to 150 nits and wireless connection activated. The actual autonomy will depend on the configuration, the open applications, the brightness and the type of connection used.

For local video playback, Dell raises the estimate up to 27 hours under the same test conditions. They are specific laboratory measurements and are not necessarily equivalent to a work day with browsing, video calls and several open applications. The available capacity will also gradually decrease as the battery ages.

The Dell 14S can be configured with two panels in 16:10 format. The top option offers a 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, while the simplest variant uses a 2K 60Hz display. Both cover 100% of the sRGB color space.

The higher resolution panel provides more space for documents and a smoother representation of movement, although it will also predictably require more power. The 60 Hz alternative is aimed at those who prioritize autonomy and price. Dell has not yet released brightness levels, the specific panel type, or the availability of touch features.

Inside there will be configurations with processors Intel Core 5 and Core 7 Series 3belonging to the family known as Wildcat Lake. The official note does not specify all the models that can be chosen, although the autonomy test expressly identifies a version with the Core 5 320.

Dell has also not detailed the maximum combinations of memory and storage that it will market in each market. It is advisable to wait for the regional specifications before attributing capabilities seen in other laptops with the same family of processors.

Connections for classes and daily work

The communications section includes a Full HD cameratwo array microphones with remote pickup and stereo speakers. Windows Hello It will allow you to log in using biometric identification in compatible configurations, avoiding entering the password at each start.

Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 6 or WiFi 6E depending on the version. On the sides there are two USB-C with power delivery, an HDMI output and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The official note does not mention Thunderbolt or USB4, so it is not advisable to assume that they are included.

The port selection covers connecting an external display, headphones, and a USB-C charger, but may require the use of a hub when multiple conventional accessories are needed. Dell has also not confirmed the power of the included adapter or the transfer speeds of the connectors.

Dell plans to initially put the 14S on sale in North America during the fall of 2026. Pricing, exact configurations, and availability in Spain will be announced closer to its arrival in stores.
