Dyson launches its R1 Nurovi Dry and R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry robot vacuum cleaners in Spain
Dyson expands its home cleaning catalog in our market. It does so with the arrival of two robotic vacuum models. We refer to the Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry and to Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry. Although the devices were previously presented internationally, the British company has confirmed that they can now be purchased in the brand’s Spanish store.
Both teams seek to solve one of the common problems in automated cleaning. We are referring to the accumulation of dirt in baseboards and corners, relying on extendable mechanical arms and a two-phase waste separation system.

This is the Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry with two-phase collection and bagless cyclonic base
The first model is the Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry. This is focused on traditional dry vacuuming, both on carpets and floors. Its main argument lies in the mechanism Twin-capturea design that divides the picking task to reduce sole dependence on suction force.
On the one hand, the bristles on the central bar mechanically sweep larger particles, such as food debris or various dirt. On the other hand, the motor channels a constant air flow focused on releasing and retaining microscopic dust embedded in the joints.
To manage energy consumption and adjust the power automatically, the device has a quite ingenious mechanism. Basically, it integrates a acoustic piezoelectric sensor which measures the vibrations of the dust as it enters. By registering a higher density of particles, the system immediately raises the engine speed.
Added to this is an extendable side brush with a mesh connector that deploys towards the edges and walls to guide dirt towards the central tunnel, avoiding the dispersion of dust and tangles of long hair or pets. Emptying is carried out on a base equipped with eight hermetic cyclones that stores up to 90 days of waste without requiring disposable bags.
Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry: Reuleaux pads and thermal disinfection
For its part, the R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry model adds a wet mopping module designed to cover the blind corners usually left by conventional round mops. To do this, resort to the Reuleaux triangular padsa geometric shape of constant width that performs an eccentric movement. You can see it in detail in the image below.
According to Dyson, this configuration allows the vertices of the triangle to reach the edge of the wall and enter the ninety-degree corners, maintaining continuous friction on the floor.
The maintenance of the cloths is carried out automatically thanks to the functions added to its docking station. Once the work cycle is completed, the base injects water heated to 75°C to clean the fabrics and release the fat accumulated in the fibers. The system then applies a continuous flow of hot air at 45 °C to dry the pads completely and prevent the proliferation of bacteria and bad odors.

Regarding availability, the Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry is priced at 849 euros. It is now available on the brand’s website with a maximum shipping time of 72 hours, which indicates that there is sufficient availability. For his part, the Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry It will be available in November for a price of 549 euros. It can also be found on the official Dyson website.
